It’s publication day!!

Today is ebook publication day for The Summer Island Festival – my fifth book and my second with Aria/Head of Zeus (paperback fans – publication is 10 June 2021).

This book has been a huge labour of love – I started writing it in September 2018 and finished the first draft just before I went on honeymoon in March 2019. It’s been through several edits, two different literary agents and numerous rejections – but it’s finally here!

The Summer Island Festival is set on the Isle of Wight and tells the story of Willow – who grew up on the Island but hasn’t been back for years, Luc – who’s been in America since he was eighteen gaining fame and fortune as a musician, but is back to play the Seaview Folk Festival, and Cathy – Willow’s mum who is hiding a secret she hopes will never get out…

Here’s the blurb:

When Willow walks out on her own wedding, there’s only one place she can go: Seaview village, on the island she once called home. But she’s not the only islander back for the summer…

Twelve years ago, Willow ran away to the mainland after her childhood sweetheart, Luc, betrayed her. Luc has since become a heartthrob musician, touring sold-out stadiums around the world, but he’s finally come home to headline the island’s annual music festival – and to win Willow back.

As Willow untangles her messy past, she stumbles on a secret that could destroy the island’s fragile community – and her second chance at love…

As we go into our second summer of cancelled festivals and uncertainty, I hope you’ll enjoy a little trip to the Isle of Wight and the Seaview Folk Festival…
